Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to License to Shine. By accessing this website, scheduling an appointment, submitting a service request, or expressly authorizing License to Shine to perform services, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms. Additional terms may appear in your estimate, booking confirmation, work order, or service agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the website or authorize services.
Services
License to Shine provides professional automotive detailing services, including exterior washing and decontamination, interior cleaning, paint enhancement, ceramic coatings, odor treatment, specialty cleaning, and other related vehicle-care services. Specific services, limitations, estimated completion times, and pricing are determined by the package or individual services selected by the customer. Services are governed by separate service agreements when applicable. Certain glass coatings, ceramic coatings, and other protective treatments may be designed to provide protection for a stated period. Any stated durability is an estimate, not a guarantee, and depends on vehicle use, environmental exposure, surface preparation, maintenance, storage, and other conditions. Applicable product-specific warranties, if any, will be identified separately.

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes.
You agree not to:
Violate any laws or regulations

Intellectual Property
All content appearing on this website, including its logos, graphics, artwork, text, photographs, videos, branding, website design, and marketing materials, is owned by or licensed to License to Shine, LLC unless otherwise stated. Such content is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. No content may be copied, modified, reproduced, republished, or distributed without prior written permission from License to Shine or the applicable rights holder.
Photographs may be taken to document the vehicle’s condition before, during, and after service. License to Shine will not use photographs of the vehicle for advertising or promotional purposes without the customer’s separate permission. License plates and other personally identifying information will be concealed when reasonably practicable.
Quotes and Pricing
Quotes and online calculator totals are estimates based on the information provided by the customer and the apparent condition of the vehicle. Final pricing may change after an in-person inspection if the vehicle’s size, condition, contamination, pet hair, staining, odor, oxidation, or other circumstances require additional time, labor, or materials. License to Shine will obtain the customer’s authorization before performing services that materially increase the quoted price.
Payments
Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise stated in the customer’s estimate, invoice, booking confirmation, work order, or service agreement. License to Shine may require a deposit for certain appointments or services. Deposits, cancellation charges, and other fees will be disclosed before booking whenever applicable.
Customers authorize License to Shine to charge the agreed payment method for authorized services and applicable fees. Unpaid balances may result in the suspension of future services and may be referred for lawful collection.
Customer Responsibilities
Customers agree to provide accurate information concerning the vehicle and to disclose any known damage, mechanical or electrical problems, water leaks, loose or aftermarket components, vehicle wraps, paint protection film, window tint, prior repairs, ceramic coatings, delicate materials, or other conditions that could affect the safe performance of services.
Customers must provide License to Shine with reasonable access to the vehicle and any keys, codes, or instructions necessary to perform the authorized services. Customers should remove money, valuables, medications, sensitive documents, firearms, child safety seats, and other personal property before service begins. License to Shine is not responsible for personal property left inside the vehicle, except to the extent caused by License to Shine’s negligence.
License to Shine may decline or discontinue work when a vehicle contains hazardous materials, bodily fluids, pests, excessive mold, unsafe modifications, or other conditions that could pose a health or safety risk.
Vehicle Inspection and Authorization
The customer authorizes License to Shine to inspect, photograph, move, start, and operate the vehicle as reasonably necessary to perform the authorized services. Photographs may be taken to document the vehicle’s condition before, during, and after service. These photographs will not be used for advertising without separate permission when the vehicle or customer is reasonably identifiable.
Damage-Reporting Procedure
Customers are encouraged to inspect the vehicle when service is completed. Any concern regarding possible damage or incomplete service should be reported to License to Shine as soon as reasonably possible and before the vehicle is cleaned, repaired, altered, or serviced by another provider. License to Shine must be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect and address the concern. Nothing in this provision limits any rights that cannot legally be waived.
Results Disclaimer
License to Shine strives to deliver exceptional professional detailing results; however, specific outcomes cannot be guaranteed. Results may vary depending on the vehicle’s age, condition, materials, previous care, existing damage, and the type or severity of stains, odors, scratches, oxidation, contamination, or other imperfections.
Some conditions may be permanent or may require additional services beyond the package selected. Detailing may also reveal pre-existing damage or imperfections that were previously concealed by dirt or buildup. License to Shine is not responsible for normal wear, pre-existing damage, manufacturer defects, or conditions that cannot be safely corrected through professional detailing.
Before-and-after photographs, testimonials, and service descriptions are provided for illustrative purposes and do not guarantee identical results for every vehicle. By authorizing service, the customer acknowledges that License to Shine will use professional judgment and reasonable care while prioritizing the safety and integrity of the vehicle and its surfaces.
Appointments, Cancellations, and Rescheduling
Appointments are reserved specifically for the customer. Customers must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations made with insufficient notice and missed appointments may result in the loss of a deposit or a cancellation fee of $50.00, as disclosed during booking.
License to Shine may reschedule an appointment because of weather, unsafe working conditions, equipment problems, illness, or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control. When License to Shine initiates the rescheduling, any deposit will be transferred to the rescheduled appointment or refunded if the service cannot reasonably be completed.
Estimated Completion Times
Service and completion times are estimates and may change based on the vehicle’s condition, weather, staffing, equipment, or the discovery of conditions requiring additional care. License to Shine will make reasonable efforts to notify the customer of material delays. Time estimates are not guaranteed unless expressly agreed to in writing.
Service Concerns
If a customer believes an authorized service was not completed as described, the customer should notify License to Shine as soon as reasonably possible. License to Shine must be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect the vehicle and, when appropriate, correct the affected area. Refunds, credits, and complimentary re-service are not automatic and will be determined based on the circumstances and applicable law.
Third-Party Services
This website may contain links to or use services provided by third parties, including scheduling, mapping, payment-processing, social-media, and communication providers. License to Shine does not control and is not responsible for third-party websites, outages, policies, security practices, or services. Use of third-party services may be governed by the provider’s own terms and privacy policies.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, License to Shine shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our website or services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the services giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability arising from gross negligence, willful misconduct, or intentional wrongdoing.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless License to Shine, LLC and its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates from third-party claims arising from your unlawful misuse of the website, your material breach of these Terms, or your violation of another person’s rights. This provision does not require you to indemnify License to Shine for its own negligence, willful misconduct, or violation of law.
Termination
License to Shine may refuse, suspend, or discontinue services when a customer violates these Terms, fails to make required payments, engages in threatening or abusive conduct, requests unsafe or unlawful work, misrepresents the vehicle’s condition, or creates an unsafe working environment. When services have already begun, the customer remains responsible for authorized work completed and costs reasonably incurred before termination.

Any legal proceeding arising from these Terms or the services provided shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Ohio County, Kentucky, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Changes to These Terms
License to Shine may update these Terms periodically. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Changes apply prospectively and will not materially alter the terms of a service previously authorized unless the customer agrees or applicable law requires otherwise. Continued use of the website after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of those Terms as they relate to future website use and services.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
No Waiver
A failure by License to Shine to enforce any provision of these Terms does not waive its right to enforce that provision or any other provision in the future.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the applicable estimate, booking confirmation, work order, service agreement, and Privacy Policy, constitute the agreement between License to Shine and the customer concerning the authorized services. If a signed service agreement conflicts with these Terms, the signed service agreement controls with respect to that service.
Force Majeure
License to Shine is not responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, utility interruptions, equipment failure, labor shortages, government actions, or other emergencies.
